The Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machines authentically capture the sound of two classic tape decks including a 2inch 16 track deck from NRG RECORDING, as well as the 1/2" 2 track mastering deck used by mastering engineer Howie Weinberg. The Slate Digital development team led by algorithm engineer Fabrice Gabriel spent over a year researching the exact science of how tape machines create their classic sound, and every nuance is recreated with advanced digital modeling techniques. Using the 'VTM', your tracks and mixes will instantly take on the classic warm, rich, fat, deep sound of analog recordings.
